I did not click on the link sent in the email. I blocked and deleted the message, but want to help stop this before others do.

The message said to click on the link within 8 hours to verify my account.

My mom received the text. And I immediately said No, not real. She believed it to be so I went onto the actual uplink website to check her info and account and then an article I read led me here to confirm that the text was fake. I did click the link in the text as well and my Chrome browser told me it was very dangerous and malicious site not trusted. All red. Which I already knew, but for her sake... She very upset, could've been worse though if she would've gave out her info.
