I responded to a person in a special group on Facebook, asking if anyone was interested in a work at home job. I asked for more information, and she outlined the details of the job and if I was interested to let her know. She then told me to download the app Telegram, and call a specific phone number of her supervisor. I contacted this person via Telegram and was told he was going to conduct an interview. Still thinking all was good, he asked me several questions and told me to check back in the morning to see if I received the position. The next day I logged in and was given a report from the hiring authorities telling me I was selected for the position and all the things that were going to transpire next. They were going to send me a computer, a printer, a scanner, and a headset equipped with special software from their vendor. First I needed to obtain a Iphone11 and send it to them to be programmed with the appropriate software. I asked twice if this was legit, and was told yes. I also asked about employment documents and was told it would happen, and I would be meeting my trainer in person after all of the equipment was ready. This person kept texting me asking if I had the phone yet. It was at that moment I realized this was a scam. I actually ordered a phone, but quickly realized what was happening and was able to cancel it. I felt really dumb that I almost fell for this.
