I and my Wife have student debt with my wife having a disability. We decided to work with the company because they promised loan consolidation for me and a disability Discharge for my wife after 3 years always renewing year after year with a doctor's evaluation. and every time we filled out the application with the doctor's evaluation UAG always said it was rejected from the Department of Education because they can't read the doctors notes or he can not abbreviate etc. so we had to fill it out again and again. So this year after the application was "rejected" again from the Dept of education because of ineligibility from the Doctor I was looking at the Application and there is an area on the form that states If you need help with this form call the Dept of education with a number to call so I did just that. the Dept of education told me they have never over the years have received a disability application and they only require a one time doctors evaluation and we could have done this on our own. They also told me they are never affiliated with third party companies such as UAG who promise debt consolidation which I found out that my 2 loans for myself were never consolidated. The dept of Education said bluntly to me " you have been scammed" over the past years we have been believing we were on the right track. Paying a down payment at the beginning and then paying a service fee for 2 accounts monthly totaling $3880.00 and none of that went to are loans or Dept of education. Our FSA ID's were changed by UAG they took full control to pose as us for any changes to be made to are loans to keep them in forbearance and accumulate interest on our loans> I believe this to be extreme fraud I want my money back so I could give it to my loan holders
