Reached out to tech-support for a canon printer. The tech from the fraudulent website called me and took access of my laptop and told me that I had a virus and the printer was not able to be downloaded onto my laptop unless I purchased a $400 Norton security package. I declined and the representative got a bit hostile and I called the real Canon number the next day and they shared with me that that was not their official website/tech person. That they would never try to sell antivirus packages to their customers.

I thought I was chatting online with Canon about my printer. Chat window asked for my phone number & said tech would call me. He went into my computer online and said I had trojans. Then wanted to "clean my computer" and then charge me $389.
