Received a phone call on my landline. Recorded voice announcing a discount for air cut cleaning. (I usually ignore these but have been thinking of having this done). I pushed the number to speak to a person. A lady answered and said how can I help you. I said "you called me to clean my ducts". She then explained the work that would be done. I made an appointment for this afternoon. Gave my name, address, and phone numbers (she had the land line number, but I gave my cell number). Then I asked where the business was located and she said Chicago. I said how can they help me in California. She said they have an office in Oakland. So I asked for the phone number of this office. She gave me an 877 number. Once I hung up I immediately tried calling the number but is said not a good number. So I went online to look for the "United Cleaning" business in Oakland. There is no such business. I am now concerned they will use my cell number to get into my accounts! I have notified my cell service. What else should I do?
