This is a pet scam that I let get too far. I was looking on Craig's List for dogs, I came across an ad for a Golden Doodle Puppy. I replied to the ad, and from then things kept getting odd feeling. The ad was shown for Spring Hill, Florida, however when I spoke to the lady via e-mail she all of a sudden said that she moved to Helena, MT. There has been multiple back and forth emails about the puppy. I was told that the puppy could be sent to me via plane, which I was hesitant about since I never heard of that before. Within the conversation I had asked the lady multiple times to send me new pictures of the puppy, but she never would. The ones I initially received were stock photos from a, what looked like,a pet store. I started to feel funny about this whole transaction and communication so I even tried to back down from it. But then I was told the puppy was on its way from "United Pet Movers." I got a call.. I sent the money via Zelle (which I should have known then this is not right), and was sent a whole invoice/tracking. After still being suspcious, I looked up the company on Google, Yelp, and Facebook, and it is not coming up anywhere. I also read an article on IPATA.org about Pet Scammers and what to look for: all the things they mention on the website matches this scenario. I have sent a complain to the FBI and the FCC, and now I am complaining there. I want to make sure people are aware of these scammers and something can be done about them.
