The Scammer left me a Voicemail from Eric Smith, calling from United Finance, telling me that "a Signature Loan in my name has been approved with interest is 7.41% APR. The monthly installment will be $141.40 for the next 52 months." If you're still looking for this loan, kindly give me a call back at 917-445-7172. Thank you very much and have a wonderful day. God bless you. I returned the call and was told that the loan was for $7,000 and that a deposit of $1,000 will be made to my account at PNC Bank for verification. I was asked and did give Mr. Smith my login credentials. Subsequently 2 deposits were made to my bank account: $400 and $600. I was instructed to go to the nearest ATM and withdraw $1,000 however I told Mr. Smith that my daily ATM limit is $500. He said OK and I should withdraw $500 and would receive instructions how to return the $500 at United Finance Company's personal ATM machine and he would send me the address. After I withdrew the $500 from my ATM I went to Circle K gas station, 1281 Broad St., Sumter, SC 29150 and proceeded to purchase $500 in Bitcoin as instructed. I called customer service at PNC Bank on 12/17/2024 to inquire about a $600 provisional credit on my account and again on 12/18/2024 to advise the bank that I did not ask for that to be investigated. I was told that the deposit was made by Apple Cash and the sender had filed a pending dispute. The bank Rep told me this is quite a common Scam. I am now faced with returning $600 which I apparently never legitimately received. This person, Eric Smith, is impersonating as a Loan Officer at your financial institution, United Finance. Further, I have given them a signature page for a $7,000 loan that I don't expect to receive, and may be liable for!
