United Health Group Company Reports & Reviews (5)

This the text I received after he asked if it was me. Like other's, I did apply for Remote CSR:
My name is Mr. Jack Henry from United Health Group Company.

It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been selected for an online job interview with United Health Group Company.

For training, the pay is $20/hour and Full-Time or Part-Time is $30/hour depending upon skill level. Are you interested in the online job position?

Then he asked if I had Microsoft Teams. I stated that I do not and gave me a link for the interview and to download the app.

The Interviewer went by James Bender and went through the whole process of telling me about the job, pay, benefits and training.

After the whole process was done and questions answered, he told me I got the job and asked for 3 references to send them via email at [email protected], and like other's, told me that he would be sending me a check for the price of software to be loaded and that all equipment would be provided. I should have known that legitimate companies DO NOT use @gmail or yahoo or live or hotmail.

He also told me to be available at 8:00 am the following morning for more updates.

Like another person, the only thing he got was my name, address and bank name. No other information was given.

I seriously hope nothing comes of this, either, but I will be taking precautions.

My name is Mr. John Rex from UnitedHealth Group Company.

It is my pleasure to inform you that you have been selected for an online job interview with UnitedHealth Group Company.

For training, the pay is $20/hour and Full-Time or Part-Time is $30/hour depending upon skill level. Are you interested in the online job position?

I wrote back “so the CFO is conducting interviews? Strange.”

They also used my maiden name.

They texted me saying this was “Mr. John Rex” from “UnitedHealth Group Company” written exactly like that. Said I qualified for a work from home opportunity but would not specify what kind of position. I asked if they would email me from an HR email. They wanted to use Telegram for the interview and that is a common Scammer thing.

So I applied to a remote position with this company so I thought it was the same people. I was contacted via text to download a secure messaging app., but was alarmed by this new hiring process. In the app I was to reach out to the hiring manager. Both my daughter and I did so, went through the entire questionnaire and was offered positions. I started to question the validity when they said they would send me a certified check which I would have to deposit it and buy the software for the job and keep the balance as a bonus. James was very persuasive that he was legit, but as I started to research his offer I learned he was a scammer. An extremely convincing one too. He even sent me a picture of his Driver's License, but he was still lying. He had no idea what I was talking about when I asked who he was affiliated with, I was fortunate to find someone in HR that was able to help me question the operation. That conversation led me here as the HR person stated that they get multiple phone calls from people trying to validate these types of calls and they can't do anything, but we can report them here. So yeah we are heart broken that we are still unemployed and really wanted to believe this guy, but when he mentioned the check situation I couldn't just be a victim. He got both of our full names, addresses, Bank names, and emails, but that's it. I'm hoping nothing comes back to bite us for life. I locked my credit because I fear these people's intentions.

Scammer made it seem very realistic. He said I had to contact him on Telegram. He interviewed me via message. He said I got the job, asked for my address, and what bank i use, but not an account number or anything. He said he would send me a check for equipment, then he said i have a group video conference tomorrow morning. It all seemed fairly normal, except for the IM platform, and lack of call or video interview. All of the addresses and info were matching with the company. He then sent the email [email protected], but that company uses [email protected]. Thats what made me realize it was a scam. Im not sure if they can get any money from me with my address and just the name of the banking company i use, but i am hoping not.
