Secret shoppers sent me a check for $2850.00. I am to go to Walmart and buy 4 Walmart gift cards worth $300 each then go to the next Wal-Mart and do the same thing. (This is after I was sent a check for the $2850.00, cash it and wait for it to clear after 24 hrs) I was then to scratch off the 16 digit code as well as the 4 digit pin, take a picture of the front and back. I was to send the picture to my supervisor as soon as I purchased the cards.

I called my bank and they told me not to spend the funds because it looked like a funny check. I waited a couple days and the bank said it cleared then I was on my way to purchase the cards. My father told me I should contact someone to make sure this wasn’t a scam. After looking in to it on the computer I seen other that was scammed the exact same way and a some different but the same concept. I called my bank the next day and they told me that the check will be canceled later on that same day. The secret shopper(Richard Ellenbogen/supervisor) continued to text me telling me to proceed with the transaction because it was due ASAP.
