I was contacted through Facebook messenger by somebody in my friends list making small conversation and then asking me if I heard about a grant program by the United national government. It was said to be for working and nonworking people qualifying for amounts up to $65,000 to help eradicate poverty if you just text this number.

I naïvely text the number and promptly received a text message back asking for personal information before I realized this was a scam!

I cannot believe that people are stealing social media accounts and getting away with this!!!
