This started last Friday July 6th I get a friend request on Instagram from a person I really know I accepted and they were telling me how I could get a 100,000 dollar grant so they sent me an email address to apply so I only put my address and phone number and email address they did not ask for account numbers or anything. I get a email they told me to reply to and that an attorney would contact me to explain it more he asked me if how o wanted to receive my money? I said cash so than the guy says well there is a fee attached to it. A $500 delivery fee on order to receive the money and one paid I would get the money within 4 hrs so I had been goin back and forth on Instagram with who I thought was my good friend and I told them I don’t have $500 dollars so they say we’ll do you ha e 20 dollars for them to hold the application? I say no so they say well I’ll help you I’ll go get a steam wallet gift card and I’ll send it to you and you send it to the attorney. I say ok so days has gone by and since than they ha r me contacting me through Instagram using my friend profile so I didn’t give no bank info or social number or nothing just my address phone number and email address. This evening July 9th they contact me again and ask me was I ready to receive my blessing and the whole minus so I’m still Leary about the whole thing and ask if I could get her phone number to talk over the phone to understand the process. They refused so I said well I talked to the real person if this account and you are a scammer. They get upset and threaten me talking about if I don’t give back the $20 dollars that I will be dead. Than stated that I had 12 he’s to give it back. Than at one point they say and I want $50 dollars instead I said nope I will not do it. So they stated that they have my info in their system meaning my address phone number and email address. I really thought that this my good friend but the whole time they had hacked her account to do these scams so I did let her know and she said she’s hasn’t been on Instagram in a year. But I’m scared for my life because I already gave them my address. And I didn’t send no money or anything they were upset because I decided not to do the scam and they wanted the 20 dollars they used in the steam wallet gift card back. I will be reporting this to the police.
