I received a call from the United States Federal Grant saying I qualified for a grant. They asked me if I wanted to do it through my checking account as direct deposit or through money gram. They said they would give me a confirmation number and phone number to call back to get further instructions.

Lady called, identified herself as an employee of the United States Federal Grant, she was foreign. Called from number 202 158 8527. Stated I was receiving a grant of 8000. I needed to call this number, 845 788 5787, where another women stated I needed to pay 200 to be paid the 8000 dollars. She as well said she worked for the US federal grant. She also said the money was coming from the New York Reserve Bank.

Tuesday May 15th at 8:57 a.m. received a phishing scam call.

Person claiming to be a government employee said there was grant money for me. Should very heavy accent difficult to understand. Caller ID said it came from a Michigan phone number. When I told her the call was recorded she hung up. I do have call recorded just don't know how to upload here.

They call from multiple numbers and say that I have been given a federal Pell grant which is a lie because I am currently in school and already received my Pell grant. The person that usually calls me from multiple zip codes name is Peter and when I start asking too many questions or ask them to stop calling me they hang up and call me back the same day. When I call back the number it rings and has a busy signal or just a busy signal. If this was a real grant I believe my financial aid advisor would let me know in fact my financial aid advisor is 100% sure this is a scam.
