I was contacted by John Carton that I qualified for a 7000$ grant. He told me to go to Walmart and he would stay on the phone the whole time. Beginning to the end. He told me about a 250.00$ fee for activating this grant card. I said I would not pay the 250$ fee and he responded with I will receive 7250.00$. I said that it seems like a scam to me and he said several times “just because there is a fee to activate the grant doesn’t mean it’s a scam. I told him it would be a hour or so till I could get to Walmart. He repeated that I was to call him as soon as I get to Walmart. I did not go or call him back. Looked online on the web site and first article I read warned me about a 7000$ grant. Therefore the government knows about the scam. Why doesn’t someone do something to stop this scam. I will continue to persue this scam till someone takes the steps to stop these scammers. This happened 3-2018
