They had my name and zip code. They asked my age and occupation. They gave me a grant claim number and a phone number to the senior account person for verification.

They called me about a government grant of $9000.00. I had to pay $200.00 the first call and the second call was $300.00 on a different day. The money was to get a registration card to receive the $9000.00. I called back and the guy started cussing me out because I told him I'm reporting it!

Called from the 800# but left the 844# for a call back. Automated voicemail says I will receive $10,000.

I have received over 20 calls in the past 4 days from the United States Government Grant Department offering me a once in life time opportunity to receive a grant of $7500.00, in form of walmart money gram or Western Union.

I of course know it is a scam.

do not answer phone calls from 2021112111 or 24678324060 or 2029296655.

They are driving me crazy, i have blocked each of these numbers after a time and they just call from another number.

1st individual was called from 2732143245 by John Bennett who gave a CODE with which my sister was then to call his supervisor at 2064726011 - David Miller who asked her for $250 up front to get an $8,500 grant from the Government but she would need to pay the Taxes for this grant of $250. My sister is a disabled senior and she believes they are targeting Seniors.

On April 26, 2017 @ 3:27pm central time, I received a call from someone claiming to be with "The United States Grant Department ", claiming that I was chosen to receive a grant in the amount of $ 9,800. She said her name was Ellen. She had a foreign accent and was difficult to understand. I asked the name of the company she worked for and she repeated that she was with "The United States Grant Department". I asked where she was located and she said " Washington, DC, I work for The Department of Grants"! I played along and she said I should call 202-656-9603 to claim my winning Grant. She then gave me a grant winners number which was "EL123". I would be told how to collect my winning Grant which she said "does not have to be paid back"! After checking with the BBB I returned the call to see how far they would go. The lady I spoke to could barely speak English and I didn't get her name. I was given the choice of direct deposit which she said "was the preferred way to send my winning Grant safely". I informed her I would not give out my bank information. She then asked if I had a visa or master card? I replied I did but she wasn't getting that information either. She said it could be done by wire transfer.When I asked how much it would cost me, I was told $250. I then informed her that she should learn to speak clearer English if she intends to fool anyone! While laughing at her, I also informed her that I know for a fact that no individual is given a Grant randomly by the government and that this was a scam and she had chosen the wrong person to try to fool. She abruptly hung up on me as I laughed at her! I may not have a college education but I am not stupid! It's sad the lengths people will go to and try to STEAL our hard earned money. In my case I am disabled and on a fixed income as are many of their victims I'm sure.

Didn't give any information to them. But keeps calling me saying I have been awarded a $9,000 grant to do what I want and it does not have to be paid back. They gave me a confirmation # JR007 and said to ask to speak with an account manager. Got very rude and stated cursing because I said this is. Can nd don't call my number a can.

I received a call on my cell phone today from the United States Grant Department. Caller said I had a government grant. Did not give the amount. They do it once a year. They select people so they can pay bills and go back to school. Not to use the money for drugs. They gave me the phone number to US Treasury Department 202-738-4259. The told me I could receive the grant three different ways. Western Union, checking account. I do not remember the third way. The caller did not tell me how much to send. Caller asked me for my checking account number to wire the money and I gave it out.

I got a call on my cell phone today from the United States Grant Department. Phone number 202-436-9750 for a Government grant of $9000. Wanted me to MoneyGram $250 for the grant. I did not send the money, but I did call the phone number back. They answered the phone United states Grant Department. They said I was picked for a $9000 grant. I  could hear people talking in the background. So I told them I was going to contact the ScamPulse.com. I asked if they are affiliated with the ScamPulse.com. They said yes, and I hung up. Did not send any money.

They said I would receive 7,000 in grant money if I sent 210.00. Threw money gram.
