Keep sending texts saying I have a special delivery then go to website they want $

I received an email that my address forwarding services are almost over and that I need to pay to continue those services. I've never applied for forwarding services. I haven't moved. And I know the united States Postal Service does not charge for changing ones address. They want me to click on the link they provided. I'm afraid to.

- Cleveland, OH, USA

I received a text stating I have a package to call them and they are changing the date and to call them to confirm. I called the real Middleburg heights post office and they told me this is a scam.

I received a text message stating that I had an unclaimed reward from USPS. The link in the text message directed me to a website where the USPS logo was used. I thought it was legitimate, so I claimed my reward and paid for shipping. I later learned that it was a scam. I would like to know how I can get my money refunded and my personal information deleted from this scam business.

- High Point, NC, USA

Someone called me pretending to be from the United States Postal Service with a job offer. I believed them because I actually had applied to the usps on Indeed.com. I literally sat on the phone for about 20 minutes listening to them give me all of the information and didn't say a word. The first thing I thought was odd was that they repeated everything exactly twice. Then they started talking about an exam that I would have to take and they would send me all of the study guides and practice tests for a refundable $100 charge to my debit or credit card. As soon as they said that I knew. Luckily I had a friend who works for the postal service and she told me that she did not have to anything like that. I guess i will not be using indeed anymore if they can't keep these kinds of people off of their website.
