I received a check by Priority Mail Express in the amount of $4,800 from University System of New Hampshire, a company I had never heard of before. The name listed on the return label was Nicholas Bartlett. My full name and address were spelled correctly on the label and check. The check was the only thing in the envelope, no letter attached. I googled USNH and called them to inquire about the check and was informed that they did not send me a check and that they had recently heard from others who received similar fraudulent checks in the mail. I did not deposit this into my account.
