We were told we won a lottery from Publishers Clearing House of $2.5million. The man had an Indian accent. He told me that we needed to pay a fee of $200 in order for us to get the prize and that after we recieved the prize we would have to pay an additional $150. He told us to send the money through Western Union to a Hollie Shaw in Jamaica. Whenever we would talk he would tell us to go somewhere quiet and private so that no one could overhear our conversation.

I received a fraudulent phone call from phone # 516-387-6669 asking if I would like to lower my interest rate on my credit card because I have been making on time payments. The asked what type of card do I have and the card balance, I gave the wrong balance amount and the male on the line hung up.
I immediately called Capital One credit card company to report this incident and they advised me to send this email. Please advise if there is anything that I can do to ensure this never occurs again.
