I was contacted through text messaging (information from the app Upwork Talent). The scammer introduced themselves as Michael Deen (Former US Army & Physiotherapist) who had partnered with David Mills to sell a device called VIbeRoller (mentioned it was sold on Amazon) for pain relief. He was needing an assistant to handle administrative duties (memo typing, scheduling, email handling, data entry, and minor transactions). The position was to work 12pm-3pm Mon-Fri I had disclosed I was unable to work Fri which was stated it would be fine. I was asked to contact [email protected] & [email protected] about projects they were "working on". To create a work email [email protected] and a account for hiring on Upwork Client (app) for a posting for a similar job (first fishy act). Other than that, I was asked to search for a venue location for a seminar around Gilbert, Arizona on June 23rd. I was instructed to download CashApp and Coinbase for transactions but once they stated I would be reimbursed I refused to do any transactions through lack of funds (second fishy act). Then I was instructed to use an account made for me on ID.me but I reported it multiple times that I didn't have access to the account other than my cell phone number being attached to it. The site contacted me that a transaction was attempted but they had stopped it. I was told I was to receive payment ($550 per week with that Thursday being the first payday). After I had not received any payment I had notified "Michael" on 3 occasions to let them know. I refused to do any further work until I received payment but I hadn't heard back from them since. I was wary but still had stupidly given out some of my information. I had been introduced to this job by a coworker named Odessa LaGrange (Clark's-WebstaurauntStore in Madisonville, KY) and upon last weekend she was still working for this "organization".
