Your web site described it well and helped me fully determine it was a hoax. It was pretty convincing. I do have some minor things to potentially add to the description - two things set off some alarm bells. One was at the top of the envelope in which the letter was delivered. Part of the return address states 'Washington, 'Districk' of Columbia" without any actual address or zip code. Second, the VERY steep penalties and urgency that was listed in the letter seemed a bit harsh for the task requested to be completed by our business. The letter indicates 'civil fines up to $500 per day, criminal fines of up to $10,000 and/or imprisonment for up to two years'.
