My mother-in-law fell victim to the "grandson in trouble" scam. She sent $1100 in two installments via Western Union in a Rite Aid store. First recipient was Sara Lora Perez ($680); second recipient was "Kevin Castro." In addition to talking to her "grandson," she talked to John Williams, a "retired Marine Corps sergeant."
