I had been receiving calls from CA, FL and various other unknown numbers. I knew they were not legitimate, because when I would answer there was so much noise in the background. I would ask for the person to repeat the agency they were calling from and they would hang up. The person had a strong Asian accent. So I decided to play along on the next call. When he said the goverment wanted to give me a $9,600 grant, I acted really excited. At this point is when I asked the name of the government agency. I was told it was the US Government Grant and Treasury Dept. I continued to play along, they ask me my date of birth and I gave them a fake date. I ask how I could get my money, I was told to go to Walmart or CVS and when I got there to give them a call at (347) 854-0426 and to use a confirmation 7169725. I didn't go. The next day I received two calls from that number, but I didn't answer. I tried to call the BBB to report it, I left a message but no one returned my call.
