This number has been calling me about 10 times a day for the past two weeks. Two days ago I finally answered and someone with a very thick accent spoke to me, claiming they were from the US grants department and that I have qualified for some grant. That I didn't need to give any personal information to qualify and I didn't need to be currently enrolled in school to receive this grant. Of course I am not stupid and know that that's not how grants work. Multiple times that I requested that they put me on there do not call list. They always hung up on me. I've tried requesting a supervisor, tried getting a little further into the conversation without giving too much of my information, and when I get to the point of asking them not to call me again they hang up and literally 20 minutes later I received another call from the exact same number.

I was told I qualify for a $9000 grant. The guy still sounds like Apu. I'm so sick of this. I wish they would leave me the F--- alone. I'm getting 1-3 calls a day from this scam and still can't figure out how to block them from calling me

I was contacted several times by a number in Washington DC an didn't answer for the first few days, but they were very persistent. On 4//13/16, I finally answered the call from (202)760-7776. A woman with a Ukranian sounding accent proceeded to tell me that she was working for the US Grants Department and that the US governent randomly selected me for a grant of $7,000.00 that may be spent on bills and necessities. She then asked me to verify some personal information such as my name and address. This information is accessible almost anywhere online so I was not surprised. She gave me an ID number UK303, told me to call her manager Mr. Johnson at (607)238-4846 after we were finished with our conversation. I agreed then hung up. Of course I never called the number.
