Type of a scam Tech Support
. Today I called Microsoft 365 for help after getting an error message from their product key. However, I was somehow routed to your number under the impression that you were Microsoft word365. You never made it clear that you were not working for Microsoft365 until you gathered my bank and personal details. Typed up a payment agreement and instructed me to press send upon review. I realized you are not Microsoft. . By this time you have also remotely watched me enter passwords for my computers and email address. You gathered all my personal contact information and financial details. I never understand what you are doing but I gave you trust because I was under the impression you were Microsoft office 365. After I started reviewing the emails and bills. I reviewed the entire situation and I decided to call the manufacturers of the computers. I was informed that you installed a remote feature on my computer that could give you access. I was not aware you did that and you never informed me. That is a huge privacy violation because it means you can access it whenever without my consent. . I started researching the company and realized you have swindled many people the same way you did with me. You created fear by telling me that my IP address was hacked. You showed me two error messages, knowing that I did not know what the errors Mean. You asked if I knew much about computers and I told you just a bit. You went on to tell me that my IP address was hacked. You told me they would have access to all my information and devices. After calling the technical people of manufacturers voicing my curiosity and suspicion, I was informed this was not so. I then realize that you used my ignorance and took advantage of me financially. You were deceitful in your actions for personal gain.
I then researched your company and realized that you have a pattern. every single complaint filed against you is the same pattern as mine. The person buys a new device, all of a sudden an error for the product key pops up and your phone number is disguised under their logo. The unsuspecting customer calls under the false belief, to fix something simple and you charge an exorbitant amount for other things that did not exist. You delete the McAfee to bypass the protection that was already on the computer and to sell me a product you know I don't need. You also leave remote control access on my personal computer without my knowledge. That is predatory. And gross encroachment of privacy.
As a member of the ACFE. I am going to push for an investigation into this company. I have identified many symptoms of Fraud. And the process provides every opportunity for fraud. I am very disappointed but not surprised.
I have contacted the manufacturers of my device, they saw what you did and reverse every single thing. I changed all my passwords. I contact my bank for this high suspicion of fraud. I reinstalled my protection to clean my computer from traces of your manipulations. Do not contact me, I will not allow you to scam me.
