After hanging up, I called AARP Fraud Alert and was told not to contact them again. Several Red alerts were pointed out to me....use of Debt cards payment, after checking address - not at this location, There is a US Legal Support Inc.but they didn't use "Inc" in their title, the fact that the deadline date was 2020 not 2021.

I called back & said we must have been disconnected. This was a different person. He told me same as above. When I mentioned that I was looking at my credit report at that minute, he said he didn’t know why it wasn’t on there. But I owed the money. He could not tell me which creditor until I paid him or the warrant was issued. I asked him which courthouse I needed to report to. He said the one in my town. (My town doesn’t have a court house). I told him I called my local police station where the original call came from & they had no record of calling me. He said I needed to check with the warrant department. I told him our town is very small & we have 3 people in our police station that I know personally. He then hung up on me.

when I called the number they said a number of things including that I owed $1988.64, they asked me if I wanted to settle out of court which because I didn't know it was a scam I was unsure about. they told me the call was recorded and that if I hung up they would take that as a no and I would be arrested. ultimately after finding out that it was a scam they asked if it was confirmation that I wasn't going to pay I said yes, which honestly may be a way for them to still try and scam me.
