I responded saying that I would be interested and to give me a call to further discuss the details to determine if it would be a good fit for me. I did not receive any calls just an email with a link to start the application process which I filled out. I was then sent an email that stated to start the employment process I would need to sign a document and send it back. Included in this email were 2 PDFs, one with the job description and the other was called "Job Offer" (attached below) which stated that I was to sign if I accepted the job offer and by signing this, the document constitutes the whole and entire agreement between myself and the company. Agreement on what? What agreement can I possibly enter with a company to start the employment process? An agreement on the policies and procedures? How can you expect me to agree to the company's policies and procedures when I was told that I would receive a copy of them only after I signed this paper saying I agreed to them? Another thing that seemed off was in the job offer PDF, the company, US Parcel Flow, refers to themselves as "company." Also, at the end of the document it says the offer is only valid for 5 business days and then there will be a vacancy for other applicants. However, she reached out to me, not the other way around and if other people want to apply why shouldn't they be able to whether I sign this or not? To me, that sounds like creating a sense of urgency so that I won't think twice and just sign it. If it's legitimate why do I need to sign a paper that says I accept the job and oh yeah by the way by accepting it I'm also agreeing to all of these unknown things but don't worry I'll find out what I agreed to after I sign? I was told to email these documents to the HR department at [email protected]. That does not sound like an HR email. Lastly, every email I received was from charolette's gmail account, yet the last one I received was signed: "regards, us parcel flow" rather than "regards, Charolette." I did not complete the process because all of these details seem off and a little unprofessional. Now, I don't know what the scam is, what happens next, or even if it is a scam but it does sound a little sketchy and I would not want someone's eagerness to work to be taken advantage of.
