I googled passport renewal and the first one that came up was this website which I thought was the correct one. I filled out all information it requested, even address, social security number and DOB. Towards the end, it requested my payment information which I also provided - with three different credit card information.

This was the first result and listed US passport application at the top of the page and appeared to be a government website. Upon completing payment I never received any email package with my application and upon reviewing found out this is a fraudulent website completely unaffiliated with the government.
