************ I received a phone call from US TRADEMARK PATENT
888-881-0629
.... Claiming to be US Trademark Patent office stating my application for TM was approved and needed to pay a final additional fee of 350 in order to finalize the process for the R trademark, final step. They said they were from Harrisburg and warned me of scams and not to pay any additional fees beyond this final payment, and to look out for further actions or may delay my application process.
They also said I should pay that day because it could delay extra months and I wouldn't be able to use my TM without this payment....
My initial application was filed 12/12/22 and I was waiting to hear back from the office with further instructions.
Yesterday 9/26/23 I received an email from my attorney who was assigned to the filing stating the same thing, with a link to USPTO to check my status and update some language because I was falling under two separate classes.
I then called USPTO yesterday and talked with a representative who told me there were no further payments I should have made, and that everything through Trademark Engine was paid in advance in the amount of 500+ back in 12/22
This is when I learned I was scammed and then found additional information on your website.
I'm attaching my bank statement for the transaction on 8/14/23
Any assistance you can help with would be greatly appreciated, as I've been in between jobs this was a major hit, but at the time I couldn't afford to lose my trademark application.
Please let me know if there are any additional steps I can take to try and recover these funds.
Best regards,
