Type of a scam Moving
When I first was deciding whether to use this company I looked on BBB. There were many 5 star reviews. Since that time there have only been 1 star reviews describing very similar circumstances. This is clearly a scam.

Initial means of contact Phone
They have given me the runaround, ignored me multiple times, treated me like [censored] etc. This by far has been the worst customer service experience of my life. No exaggeration.
I, B*****J**** and formally requesting for a return of my deposit is the amount of $687, paid on February 3, 2021.
The experience that I have had with Moving Pros has been quite the nightmare to say the least.
Here is a copy & paste review that I left for Virgin Moving & Storage that will accurately portray this experience:
:I called Moving Pros, spoke with Tom Parker, who quoted me $1922, after inventory was given.
My scheduled moving date was 2/14/21. At 7:55pm on the evening of 2/13/21, Brian from VMS called me to ask if they can arrive early in the morning because of his dissatisfaction that he had to work on "Valentine's Day and on [his] birthday." He stated that (tomorrow) was Valentine's Day & his birthday several times, while also expressing that he wanted to be home with his girlfriend and that "no one wanted to work with him because of Valentine's Day." I felt extremely uncomfortable at this point and asked, "Should I hire someone else?" He of course, said, "no."
The morning of the move he shows up and continuously said "how much stuff [I] have," while shaking is head. Again, making me feel extremely uncomfortable. I had my clothes on hangers, zip tied, pulled through large garden bags and then taped tightly. There was about 6 of these altogether, plus a few more garden bags full of soft material like bedding. There were unpacked items as well. I made it clear that none of those items were coming with, and I'd be throwing them away. He then took photos of my inventory. Upon finishing, he began writing down numbers and told me outloud that $600 was being added for packaging material for the items in bags. I said, "Excuse me? $600 for some boxes and some tape?" He replied, "And for labor." Wow! Unbelievable, right? He then said that [Moving Pros] quoted me at mid 300 cubic feet and that I had 900 on something. Flash forward to the next day: we ended up loading up a Uhaul and I assure you, that I did not have over 900 cubic feet of inventory. He finished his new quote and told me it would be $5162.50! It went from $1922 to $5162.50. I would like to point out that my furniture was very standard for a small apartment: queen bed, headboard, small vanity, 2 nightstands, a bookshelf approx. 4' tall, a 3' flat-screen tv, a basic window side table for plants, a cat tree, standard coffee table, NO dining table and chairs as I was giving that away, 3 backless bar stools, and heavy duty shelving that was all broken down for them, but 2. That's it! The rest was boxes that I had numbered and the garden bags that I mentioned earlier.
He was aggressive with me & as a single female, I was feeling very unsafe. I told him how ridiculous his new quote was and how wrong it was to try & charge me over 250% more than the original quote. The feeling of being unsafe plus the outrageous quote, prompted me to ask them to leave my home. He continued to push for my cooperation. I continued to ask him to leave. He then sat in his truck for sometime afterwards while I received 3 calls from 2 different people, trying to persuade me to use their services and brought their quote down to $3100. I was so unsafe and uncomfortable feeling though, so I asked yet again, for them to leave. I will be fighting to get my $687 deposit back from Moving Pros."
Not only was my experience incredibly stressful, but it was also very intimidating and unsafe feeling. I will also add that I called Pro Moving, but couldn't reach anyone due to the day being Sunday. I texted Tom Parker and to this day have not gotten a response. I needed a new moving company. I called Tuesday while driving my Uhaul to Oregon to request my deposit back and was given this email to do so.
I will take this to a small claims court and report to the Better Business Bureau if need be. I will definitely report Virgin Moving & Storage to BBB, regardless.
I hope you all do the right thing.

Nobody should use them ever!!
First they said Tuesday between 11-2, and then on Tuesday they told us they won’t be here now until Wednesday. As always with moving, time is money and we specifically planned to leave on Wednesday after the movers came on Tuesday because we are on a time crunch to move. Wednesday rolls around and we waited between 11-2 and after receiving zero updates, WE had to call the company ourselves and they finally told us they would be there between 4-6. 5pm rolls around, still no update, so WE call the company again and they tell us they won’t be there for another hour. We essentially had to do their job for them, because they showed zero care or concern to update us. Not a single person called us first to give us an update. WE always had to call them. 630 rolls around and they finally show up. When we called the company and their members in charge of our move to complain, we were told “well what’s that going to do?”. So then we tried to call who, we were under the impression, was the “boss”, or a member of management we could complain too. We called 4 times, and every single time it went to voicemail.
To add onto this, when the movers arrived and took a look at everything we were quoted for, suddenly we’re not able to fit the bed, two couches, and two kayaks we SPECIFICALLY listed to the company and they had in their records as the items quoted. We were also emailed those records and those quotes. The bed, the kayaks, and the couches were listed. So what exactly are we paying 2200 for if that’s the price we were quoted for based on our DETAILED list of items? Let alone the fact we were UNDER the number of boxes we told them we had. And then the company has the audacity to tell us that if we want to put our couches, bed and kayak in the truck it’ll cost an extra 1500? What is the goddamn quote for when we specifically listed these items and then we’re told we have to pay more for them?
This is, by far, the absolute worst service we have ever received from a moving company.
They take zero pride in their customer service. In no way or form is this a complaint about the individual movers themselves. This is a complaint regarding the absolute despicable customer service we experienced. This company is solely about how to make the most money on a move. They made an already incredibly stressful situation significantly more stressful. They do not care that, due to their miscalculations, we had to get rid of major purchases and furniture to keep it at the rate already discussed. We are already running on an incredibly tight budget and at this moment in our lives, we cannot afford an extra 1500 for items WE WERE ALREADY QUOTED FOR.
To summarize , this company not only showed up a day after they told us they’d be here, they showed up 5 hours late, forcing us to entirely change our itinerary and cancel reservations (costing us even more money than they already have). Adding to it, we had to do their jobs for them because we had to call the company every single time for updates. When we called to complain, we were only met with indifference and nonchalance - they showed zero care for customer service. Adding further... when the movers finally arrived, suddenly all the items we had been quoted for won’t fit on the truck unless we pay an extra 1500. This company forced us to leave behind valuable, big purchase items because we could not pay the extra 1500 - and frankly, we shouldn’t have had too. And because they showed up a day and 5 hours late, we had no time to find solutions regarding the items we were forced to leave behind and essentially throw away (the items that we were specifically quoted for).
All of that being said, absolutely DO NOT use this company. They do not care about their customers in any way or form, and they are solely just in it to get as much money from the customer as possible. They will GOUGE YOU for every single item. Their quote system means absolutely nothing to them, as they do not follow it or pay attention to it whatsoever. This company is a disgrace, and I will be sure to tell as many people as possible to never use this company. Thank you for making the last 48 hours a living hell.

I have looked up numerous reviews of this company and it seems this is a very common problem. They must be stopped!!!
First of all, this business has the WORST ORGANIZATION AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION EVER! Should have known better! I found this company because the internet stated it was a 4.5-star company. Therefore, I contacted this company because my son needed a last-minute move. In fact, all he needed was someone to load and transport a few boxes, a couch and a bed. Everything was already packed. Despite of how much the costs was going to be, I trusted on Fred Thompson (Senior Moving Coordinator). He reassured me that they are a reputable business and can vouch for the company since the owner is a prior Marine veteran. As a result, being a veteran myself and currently stationed in the state of Hawaii, I put my trust in the company. They informed me that they had a moving company that will be passing through from Las Vegas to go to Texas and can pick up my son’s items from Golden Valley, AZ and deliver it to San Antonio, TX. However, in order to reserve the date and moving company down, I needed to put the deposit while still on the phone. He sent me the invoice to read. Should have caught it when he was rushing me to electronically sign it. But I decided to read it in its entirety. The document looked legit and after reading it, I electronically signed it. Once I signed it, he referred me to Crystal from their verification office, authorizing the deposit payment be removed from my account. Being in the military, I learned to document all information relayed.
We never received the moving company scheduled to come for the move nor did any moving company showed up. Fred, Chris, and customer service informed us that they schedule a 2-day grace period in which no one showed up. The whole staff are avoiding any communication with me or my son. Although their site states they are 24/7 open, they are not. You call the customer service line and they direct you to a recording stating that it is passed business hours and to text only the emergency number. My son was left to rent a U-Haul and find someone to drive the U-Haul to their designated place in San Antonio, TX.
I feel helpless for my son and his family because I am in another state.
I contacted customer service the next morning hoping to get my deposit back since services were never fulfilled. I waited 10 minutes only to have them put me on hold for another 10 minutes. When I finally got to speak to someone, Joanna from customer service, didn’t really care about what I had to say and wanted to get me off the phone. She told me to email the support and cancellation department in which I informed her it was never a cancellation since you never fulfilled the move. She informed me to call the retention line. When I called the retention line, I received their voicemail in which you cannot leave a message because it is full. What I don’t understand, all the representatives in this company’s voicemail is full. When I finally got a hold of someone from Retention, Robert kept insisting that I do not call my bank and to give him until the end of the day to fix it. That was on 9/29/2020. I called my bank hoping to file a dispute and am awaiting. It is now October 3rd, 2020 and this company still is avoiding my call. I pray I am able to get something resolved and get the deposit I paid so I can give that to my son and his family.
Below is what I documented from the day I filled my information in their website, to when Fred contacted me, Crystal (verification representative), Chris (dispatch manager), Joanna (customer Service) and Robert Smith (Retention). Keep in mind the time is Hawaii time. I have given them ample amount of time to correct the matter prior to posting this, yet they are avoiding me and my son. Also, attached is the contract, screen shots of the conversation via text message. This company makes good people like me lose all trust on companies online who state they are Veteran owned.
