That they are offering Grants that the government is randomly giving for paying taxes. When my dad called and gave the identification number they declined ever calling or knowing me.

On 3-6-19 I got a voice mail on my cell phone. The message stated this is the U.S. Treasury calling about a warrant issued for me for tax evasion and if I did not return their call I would be arrested. The number they left was 623-428-2430.

I was cashed and told I was being awarded a $9,000 Grant front the U.S. government but i had to pick up my money at a Money Gram location. I was asked to pay a $150 security deposit and then the funds would be released to me. I did not go through with this but I think people would due yup the level of professionalism of the organization.

I received a cell phone call from 202-800-0780 (called this # and get recorded message that the # is no longer in service) today at 12:19 that was a recorded message stating that it was the US Treasury Dept. I called back at the number they left 202-800-0782. The person that answered had a foreign voice and said, "US Treasury Department, this is Officer Darren James, Badge#174336. He told me that an officer would be at my residence within 1/2 hour to arrest me for tax evasion in the amount of $3,786.21 and went into saying that I would need to get an accountant and an attorney and described fines and charges and stated that if I get taken to jail it could end up costing me up to $60,000.00. He told me that the case# was JC1458642. He summed up the conversation by asking me if I have any questions and when I said "no" he said "ok, I will go ahead and process the arrest warrant". I am not delinquent on my taxes and never have been so I called the Elkhart Sheriff Department to report this and they told me they have received a few phone calls regarding this same issue and told me it is a scam that is going around our area. I want to report this. What a terrible thing to do to people!! Please let me know if you need any other information. Thank-You.

A person contact me to tell me that the U.S. government was giving a free grant of $7000 and they needed my credit card number in order to put the funds on my card.

The person says they are from US Treasury Department and if we don't call them back in a timely manner an arrest warrant could be issued. They say it is about tax fraud.

They left a message on our answering machine.

I received a call today from the "U.S. Treasury department" claiming that I owe over $5000.00 in back taxes from 2013. I called the number back today and when I began asking questions, they hung up. They gave me a case number (***). When I called the number back, sometimes I got a man, an Indian man by with the last name O'Connell and a woman named Erica Brown. The man on the phone initially threatened to have me arrested.

Man left message on answering machine. He was with the Treasury Department and stated we owed money for our taxes.
