Kevin Mason from supposedly U.S. Treasury called to reassure me that he is available to help not to go jail because of my tax problem. We do not have a tax problem and our credit scores show it.

Steve Martin called saying he was from the U.S. Treasury Department and that he urged us to get in contact with him regarding an important matter. He also said that if we did not contact them, then we would be taken to court for a Federal offense.

This person calls me to inform me that I've been award a US Treasury grant that I do not have to pay back in the amount of ~$8000. He provided me with all my personal information -- I did not have to provide him with any information -- then said that I needed to call back to his superior/Auditor to claim the money.

He said that I had different methods for receiving the money--Moneygram or direct deposit. He provided me with the phone number that I had to call after speaking with him to confirm the award and with a claim number (CM724), telephone number to call back is 206-713-7357.

Received call on cell phone on July 15, 2016 at 5:09 pm. The computer generated voice said this is the final notice from the U. S. Treasury that there is a legal petition of a tax against me. I am to contact them immediately before it is sent to Federal Claims Court.

Called to say that they are sending authorities to arrest me if I don't pay back taxes

I received a call today from a woman who claimed to be from the U.S. Treasury. She said that I had been randomly selected to receive a $7000.00 grant from the government because I had no criminal record, had a good tax record, etc. The woman claimed that to receive the money I could have it wired through Western Union or directly deposited to my checking account or sent to my Visa or MasterCard. She said they do not issue checks.

She became defensive and started raising her voice when I pressed about the legitimacy of her offer and how ridiculous it was that the government would not issue a check because apparently "recipients complained that the money was not getting to them on time."

She called from this D.C. number: 202-854-9631

The caller had a foreign accent and claimed to be calling from the U.S. Treasury. He said we needed to call back immediately or face criminal charges in front of a Grand Jury.

Some parts of his message are difficult to hear due to his strong accent. He ends the call strongly urging us to call that number which will "help us, help you.

Left message that I was going to be sued by Legal Affairs Dept. of U.S. Treasury. I called the number back and they hung up on me.

Steve Martin called, says i owe money and to contact him to keep from having legal action taken against me, He is with U S Treasury

Voicemail that says to contact the us treasury regarding my offense. They even gave me an incidence number, and said that If I didn't call back to handle the matter I would have to appear in front of the grand jury. Threatened me and told me good luck.

I am concerned as I received this voice message:

Hi, this message is intended to contact you. My name is Steve Martin. I'm calling regarding an enforcement actions executed by us treasury needing you're serious attention. Ignoring this will be an intentional second attempt to a white initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand judge for a federal criminal offense. My number is 585 937 3305 I repeat 585 937 3305. I advise you to cooperate with us and helpers to help you. Thank you.

The Caller , who has a foreign accent, says his name is Steve Martin and that he is calling regarding enforcement actions executed by the U.S. Treasury intending your serious attention. He called once before and this time said that ignoring this message will be an intentional second attempt to thwart initial appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury for a federal criminal offense. He left this message on our answering machine and I have no intention of returning his call.

I was called by someone from the U.S. Treasury, Steve Martin or Mottin and he stated that if i wanted to avoid indictment by a grand jury and avoid federal charges to contact him.

I recd a call this morning at 11:15 AM and it was a recording. A man said his name was Dennis Quaid (he had an accent from India) and he was w/the US Treasury concerning a pension fraud. He said to call him at 407-588-1689 immediately or I would be arrested. I called the no. but no one answered. I've been advised that it was a scam.

An Indian man, calling himself Mr. Chris Morrantion, called me in the evening, stating that he is with the U.S. Treasury, Dept. of Legal Affairs, and that this concerns a legal claim against me and that I need to call him back asap. I called a few times and I got a busy signal each time; obviously a scam, in my opinion.

Message left by Enforcement Action of US Treasury. Number 352-587-9708. Called number and spoke with Officer Martin O'Connell who sounded straight out of New Delhi. He wanted to know if a CPA had filed my taxes for 2013, and I told him if he had my return he would see that one had. He claimed I owed $5,450 for 2013 filing, and that because a letter had been sent to my door to which I did not respond, if I did not pay up, agents would be here to arrest me. I really wanted to discuss the disconnect between his name and accent but he did not want to go there. Here I sit waiting for federal agents.

I guess I just wanted to get under his skin because I know scammers try to target vulnerable people. I don't own a gun, but can be obnoxious when called for. I would NEVER in ordinary circumstances call out someone on their accent. I think I will call him now and let him know you have his cell phone number.

"David Gray" calling from 702-637-1500. Treasury.

Some Asian man trying to scam people with a looped message "regarding an unfortunate action executed by the United States Treasury"... something about a criminal offense.

- Monticello, IL, USA

I had a message on my answering machine today . It was very garbled but I called the number and they said there was a mistake made on our 2013 tax form and I owed $5,150 with penalties! The person was very difficult to understand but told me that he would issue a warrant if I did not pay this amount. I was very skeptical and did eventually hang up.

Received a phone call today from the U.S. Treasury stating that I was eligible to receive a US Grant in the amount of $9,257.00. The only thing I have to do to claim the grant is send $250 through Western Union.
