This company mails out letters that look like official United States Coast Guard renewal letters and instructs you to go online and renew. It has your actual vessel name, address, and official documentation number from the USCG. The letter doesn't contain any mention of them not being the real USCG. They charge you exponentially more ($450 for a service that cost $84 at USCG) to "Process" you application which take the same amount of time as if you went to the real site. They add no value and are in business only to prey on unsuspecting customers. I called to cancel and they threatened legal action and sent a letter from their attorney. While the business may be legal the willful deception is not (even if you put it in tiny print in a big contract).
