USA Jobs LLC Reports & Reviews (2)

My son thought he was applying for a job with the US Post Office and was given a list of tasks to complete. To proceed, he had to enter 39.00. He is 19. He thought this was a way to filter for people who are committed as it stated he would be refunded if he didn't get the job. But, when he paid and went to the next screen, he was provided downloads options for chapters of a study guide for the test postal workers take (so he thought) but once you attempt to download you lose the site and cannot get back in. That is when he took a closer look amd realized this was a job assist website and he looked up on Google, does usps have a fee to apply, and he found out they do not. That is how this is a scam. He showed me the website amd it looks very official. A young person would easily be mislead.

After applying for multiple job opportunities on job-sites and directly through companies web-pages, I googled "postal work jobs" and did not pay attention to the federaljobassist.com website in my upper search bar (should have been a hint they are not affiliated with US post office or USPS, etc.. I proceeded to give my name address and phone number and email and created a login. The videos and descriptions seemed legit and it was to help with job placement in postal positions, interviews and ace exams. One thing is you don't have to pay the postal service to apply for a job, only when you move and get a temporary P.O. box to forward mail (which I was not doing). It offered these job services for a fee of $30, which I thought was strange after purchasing.. until I got a electronic receipt via email for $44.95. I got a text alert from my bank and immediately called the fraud department, to stop the pending transaction to my credit card and described what happened. I was told to call the customer care M-F 9-5 pm and to file a dispute on the transaction on the online banking website (which I did). I contacted the website through their chat contact at the bottom and asked for a refund after reading the refund policy. I got a reply today, without any sort of agent name it read as follows: " It will be my pleasure to assist you today. I want to clarify you did not pay to take the assessments or to submit any applications. You purchased our 10 step postal hiring process practice exams and our live support. The resources we provide include step by step instructions on how to successfully guide you through the postal hiring process. This includes how to search and apply for positions, tips on how to attend the interview, and support with our live agents via phone and chat. I am sorry to hear that you are not wanting to continue your career with USPS, they have very rewarding benefits. We offer 100% guarantee that is based on the use of our resources and support since our materials are digital and online. We offer refunds if you take and do not pass all 4 virtual assessments or if you do not receive a job offer within 30 days of the interview process. At the moment, we will not be able to issue a refund until you meet those requirements. I will be more happy to assist you with the process. If you have any more questions or concerns feel free to contact us back at 954-900-1435. (from: Postal Job Support Chat Response)". I looked and the websites refund policy states: Refunds are also available to those who request them within 72 hours of their registration date, provided our program resources have not yet been accessed or used. Customers will need to contact the toll-free customer support number within your account or by submitting a request through our Contact Us Form. The transaction is still pending and I am hoping that my dispute the transaction request goes through.

These kinds of websites are designed to scam job hunters, do not fall for this one and pay.. you will end up getting charged more. My bank gave me the advice to either put a stop/hold on that card or file a dispute transaction and keep an eye out for any weird transactions. I am hoping this bogus site does not take any more from me than that overcharged fee that I did not agree to. For now it is "pending"
