Type of a scam Moving
I used Venmo to prepay them 50% of the quoted move cost -- almost $1000 to move a 10" by 15" storage unit of my remaining household items from Stockton, Calif to Phoenix, Ax. The truck shows up for the move and the quote went immediately up from $1800 to $8000. I asked the 2 movers in a Budget truck to leave. The truck driver attempted to persuade me to present more money and do his bully pitch.
I reached them via the internet using Budget as the google search word. USAAA then became the contact company and said they were affiliated with Budget Van Lines (yes, they rent their trucks).
After I foolishly Venmo'd money, their Venmo contact number disappeared. I then became inundated with hundreds of mover calls and texts since USAAA is a broker for shippers. They refuse to refund any money and claim they have a signed contract which they do no. They have an F ScamPulse.com business rating and scamming individuals over and over and getting away with it.
