I was offered an at home Shipping Clerk position for USA Sending, Inc in July 2019. Via the job application email I was provided a video that detailed information about the business nature and position itself. After some research the website appeared legitimate, along with the dashboard that was set up in my name to track incoming and outgoing packages. The HR Dept requested I upload a copy of my drivers license and had me complete a W-2 Form. I chose the option to receive my check in the mail, although confident this was legitimate I was not confident enough to provide them with my banking information. I received telephone calls from a couple of supervisors; I was provided instructions to order UPS, FedEx, and USPS shipping supplies (all free). I paid no out of pocket expenses on my part with the excepting of two rolls of packing tape. I received a total of 25 packages during this one month period and was provided shipping labels to reship items via FedEx and UPS. Many of the packages reshipped were sent to Amazon Distribution Centers. It wasn't until the day I was supposedly to receive my first paycheck that when I went to log in to the dashboard my credentials no longer worked. I then attempted to make telephonic contact with the supervisors - one number suddenly was someone's number and the other I only able to leave a voicemail. I cannot believe that people can use legitimate businesses such as FedEx, UPS, USPS, Amazon in order to perpetrator scams against innocent victims who would just like to work from home. Not to mention using IRS forms to obtain personal identification. I will not rest until scams like these are no longer tolerated. I have images of every package received along with tracking labels of destination once package left my address.
