Form to complete renewal of passport for a fee, stated 2 fees, larger one was charged. They received all of our highly personal information that sets us up for identity theft??

I was trying to renew my 8 year old daughter's passport online. I stupidly clicked on the first Google search result for "passport renewal" and was taken to a site that looked and acted like a government website. After giving all my daughter's personal information, including SS #, the site asked for a $68 payment via credit card. It wasn't until my bank sent me a FRAUD alert that i realized what i had done. I visited this site as a sponsored google search, thinking the site was legitimate. It redirected me to https://apply.pass-travel-usa.com/, to which they were able to get a ton of personal information from me, including SSN, DOB, passport #, full name, address, height, eye color, hair color, family member info, credit card number, and other information. The website then sent me to a payment page, to which the transaction failed repeatedly. I then got a fraud alert and did some googling of the website url to discover the site was illegitimate, to which I called my credit card company and cancelled the transaction.
