I received a letter to take part in the USPS Household Diary Study. The purpose of the data was to help find ways of keeping the cost of mail service at a minimum. I agreed to answer questions about all mail and packages delivered to and sent from my household for the week of April 1 - 7, 2024. After placing envelopes received in daily envelopes, I sent the information packet back to the company on April 8, 2024. There was a Gift Selection Form included and I chose to receive a $50 VISA gift card that I never received. After checking on the gift card several times, I went to my local USPS office and they confirmed this was a scam and they are looking into it.
