Told me that they were selling their Kittens at a discount because one of the the mama cat was expecting a new litter and they needed to sell their remaining kittens to lessen the work load of having brand new baby kittens and the remaining kittens from the previous litter. I asked for references and pictures of the kittens and was provided both. They asked me standard questions about if i had ever owned a cat before and what my plans were to get the cat fixed. Stuff EVERY cat adoption asks. It felt like the standard procedure. I have purchased pets online and nothing seemed out of the ordinary... until the shipping company asked me to zelle them a thousand dollars for an air conditioned crate. I asked the shipping company to call me because I was not comfortable sending A THOUSAND DOLLARS to the personal account of one of their "cashiers". When the shipping company called me they explained that this was a "deposit" and not a "charge" and that upon delivery they would refund the amount of my cell minus the rental fee... the rental fee was $25.00 but I had to send a zelle of $995 "deposit" to the personal account of one of their cashiers. Obviously thats when I knew the cat wasn't even real and that I had been taken for $600. I will also be creating a report on the shipping company because they are who tipped me off to this whole thing being an elaborate scam.
