Type of a scam Government Agency Imposter
The scammer makes it appear that the new business owner has a limited time to respond with a check or money order in order to obtain a Virginia certificate of good standing. This is false. This is not required by the state. If it is desired, it costs only $6 and is obtained through the State Corporation Commission.
The imposters demand $67.25. They cover themselves by size 6 font in the center of the document: "This is not a government agency". Whether they coordinate with the State and forward the certificate or not, they are charging $61.25 more than necessary and are preying on new business owners. They need to be SHUT DOWN.
No email or website was provided on the fake form.

In addition to being a scam, they operate an illegal business because their company is not registered with the State Corporation Commission. No online presence. Someone should report them to the state.
