This is being operated on VRBO and being sold as a work online job to assist with visibility of certain hotels and resorts. They deal in cryptocurrency and on Whatsapp they claim to avoid international exchange issues. They have you make a small deposit at first of around $100 and then they have you log into a VRBO booking site. You click a booking button and it presents you with a series of 30 hotels/ resorts one after the other with the name of the facility and review stars - they want you to click on 5 stars and then it goes to the next hotel/resort - a commission is paid for each review entered. After 30 reviews, you are supposed to be able to withdraw your initial deposit plus commissions. They allow this to work once or twice and then they start having negative balances in your account so that you have to add additional funds to be able to continue to complete the series and withdraw your funds. They make these negative balances larger and larger, and. You have no choice but to add funds hoping to be able to get out. But eventually it gets to be too much. I added $14,000 trying to get out and I still have a $6500 negative balance. I didn't understand what they were doing at first - but it looks like they book reservations at the facilities getting the reviews and then they get a refund after the review is done. So they are using our funds to make fake bookings and then they are having us add fake reviews. It’s a scam and I’m sure now that I never would have been able to withdraw my funds. I have all the Whatsapp conversations, pictures of the web site, and transaction records if needed for evidence.
