I started to communicate with Patrick Vale on January 21,2022. He was selling munchkin kittens which I wanted to buy for my not to profit Organization ******** ** ****. In the beginning, we emailed each other multiple times a day and finally reached an agreed amount for two kittens, one male and one female. $700.00 was the amount for both Fred and Dot, which I thought included delivery. The person I was under the impression I was communicating with was Patrick Vale. Here is his contact information along with other name and company whom Mr. Vale contracted with to ship the kittens:
Patrick Vale

Hotts Totts was his Venmo name
Mwaka Dimiro (this is the name that appeared on the Venmo account after I paid $1,000.00

On their website their contact information is listed as:

All communications were done in texting and emailing since his cell phone would not allow him to make or receive calls.
Looking back I can see this was a scam and I am hoping and praying to recoup my money, file charges against him, and to make sure he/they can not nor will not be able to do this to any other individuals.

After I began to suspect this was a scam, I outright asked him if this was a scam. He said no he was a Christian business person and would not do something like that since he worked hard for his reputation. In retrospect, here are the reasons I am reporting him, his organization along with the shipping company to you. I would like to press charges if possible against the people and or organizations who were behind this horrible transaction.
The reasons I feel Vale Munchkin company and Patrick Vale may have been a scam:
The English wording was not proper for a business.
The inability to speak with the seller.
The inability to speak with the shipping courier.
The urgency he had to receive the money for the kittens.
The urgency he had to receive the money for the shipping courier.
Upon agreeing to use Venmo as the way to transfer money, the pin number he gave me did not work.
It took many attempts to get the transaction correct.
He asked for a refund and to resend money because he was charged fees.
He did not want to be charged fees, which now I think is because the transactions may not be refunded.
When he received the funds, the two kittens were not taken off of their web site, allowing them to ‘resell’ the kittens i ‘purchased’
The wording on the contract was confusing, especially concerning the shipping. The contract says”UPON PAYMENT of the sum of $700.00 to be paid by Buyer to Seller (the “Purchase Price including cost of delivery”), receipt of which is hereby acknowledges, Seller grants, sells, Conveys and transfers ownership of the following cat (the “Cat”) to Buyer:”. I interpreted this clause to mean that the $700.00 would INCLUDE SHIPPING of the kittens, which he said it did not. This led to a two day back and forth over the money for the shipping.
For some reason, the first payment of the shipping cost was not accepted by him so I checked my bank and tesent $300.00 after he ‘bullied’ me to do so.
He told me that Dot aka Dottie was a female which he was told numerous times, I wanted a male and female with breeding rights, and then on the contract he said Dot was a male. When I questioned him about this he said it was a typo and corrected it.
It states in the contract on page two under the TERMS AND CONDITIONS section under number 1 part b. “Buyer fails to pay the balance of the Purchase Price within 1 days of the agreed delivery date. In either event, Seller shall be free to sell the kitten to another party In the event that the kitten is not available due to sickness, death, or any other circumstance owing to the fault of the Seller, Buyer’s deposit will, at Buyer’s option, be either (i) refunded, or (ii) (ii) Transferred to the next litter of kittens.”
I HAVE REQUESTED a refund many times and he has NOT REFUNDED any money to me.
The kittens were to arrive on Sunday January 30, 2022 at 9:00 am. They never arrived. After contacting the seller many many times, and the currier (neither could accept voiced phone calls) via texts and emails, I was told that the delay was because the kittens were being held in Massachusetts for HEALTH ISSUES according to the currier. This is from their email that states they should have arrived the same day only at 9:00 pm. “DEAR CLINET YOU WELCOME ONES MORE WE JUST WISH TO INFORM YOU THAT WE ARE FACING SOME HEALTH ISSUES WITH THE KITTENS SO DELIVERY HAS STOP AND YOUR ARRIVAL TIME HAS CHANGED BECAUSE WE NEED TO ISSUE SOME VACCINES TO THE KITTENS AND THEN WAIT FOR THE KITTENS TO BE
STRONG AND GAIN THEIR NORMAL HEALTH BEFORE WE WILL CONTINUE WITH DELIVERY.WE ARE RIGHT NOW AT Massachusetts,SO WE MIGHT ARRIVE LATE IN THE NIGHT AT ABOUT 9PM OR WE MIGHT REACH IN THE MORNING TOMORROW 9 AM BUT WE WILL KEEP YOU UPDATE AS TO THE EXACT ARRIVAL TIME THANKS AND FOR THE INCONVENIENCE REGARDS MANAGEMENT”
They NEVER arrived at 9:00 pm NOR the next morning January 31, 2022.
After contacting Mr. Vale and the delivery company, I was told they would arrive on Tuesday February 1, 2022 in the morning. They NEVER arrived nor have they returned any of my phone calls, emails or text messages.
When I went back to reread and research more into both Vale Munchkins and Logistic Delivery Transit both companies used very similar word usage and English errors. This has me thinking that they were set up and or monitored by the same person(s).
Mr. Vale did not have a “working phone.”
In many different ways I asked him about the closest airport to him so I could pick up the kittens myself, and he led me to believe that using the currier would be better for them and myself.
The reasons I thought Partick Vale was (and may still be) a legitimate cat breeder are:
His website https://valemunckins.com/munchkin-kittens/ looked like others that I researched before making my decision.
The reviews on their website looked genuine.
The website did not have the grammatical errors that their personal correspondences did (which many people no longer use).
Based in the USA in Portland Oregon.
I had not heard anything negative about them.
Patrick Vale already knew of a courier to deliver the kittens and he had “used them in the past.”
The reasons I thought Logistic Delivery Transit company (and by still be) legitimate delivery company:
Their website https://www.logisticsfwdtransit.com looked genuine.
Their email matched their company name; [email protected].
Patrick Vale recommended them and said that was the currier he always used.
The reason I thought Logistic Delivery Transit Company is not legitimate and is possibly a willing participant of this scam:
Their company did not have a phone in which you could speak to anyone in any position within the company.
Their emails were not in business English.
I did further research and found that they listed their address as:
“2790 Wayside Lane ,El Sobrante
+1(707)877 6146
[email protected]
They were not open on Sundays.
They did not reply to my emails and phone calls to text to explain where the kittens were until several hours later when Mr. Vale have ‘gotten in contact with them’.
They sent only one email Sunday January 30, 2022 saying the kittens were delayed due to health issues and another saying they would be delivered the next morning. I emailed them several times asking what was going on and I DID NOT get any response back.

I just checked with the IPATA Pet Shippers which said:” IPATA Pet Shippers: AIr and Ground IPATA pet shippers are desiccated to the safe and humane transport of your pet. ‘There are no IPATA member pet shippers in this location, or by this company name. Please check another location or search by a different airport code. Many times a pet shipper is a nearby location will be able to help”. (https://www.ipata.org/ipata-pet-shippers-air-and-ground).

I realize that I am in a negative emotional place at this moment because of this situation, making my thoughts jump around in my head. I have tried to make this letter as detailed as possible without writing a ‘book’. I have kept all the emails and texts, along with the Venmo documents to aid in any way possible to have my money refunded to me and to press criminal and or civil charges to hold them accountable for their actions and to ensure they do not do this to another person.
Please keep in mind that it took me a long time to save the money to add these kittens to my therapy cat group which is, Furballs of Love. This group was started after I had to stop teaching and went on disability. I had told some clients and community members about my plan on getting the munchkins and how they would be wonderful for the clients who would find a smaller lighter cat more beneficial than one of my heavier, larger cats. Furballs of Love has not made a profit since I started it several years ago. Occasionally, a donation is given which the funds were used to purchase these kittens.
Please help!! Thank you for taking the time to read, consider, research and or respond to this letter. I have included photos and bio of each kitten. (I did not get any of the health documents since they were to come with the kittens.)
Sincerely,
