We never got the couch. Valyou says they have no way they can return the money like they can’t possibly mail us a check or anything or refund our Mastercard.

I have been very patient sending multiple inquiries about my order and multiple reasons why I am unable to receive the furniture. I have also received so many promises that the order will be delivered to me soon, in a few weeks, soon etc. I also got an email on October 10, 2022 that the order will be shipped to me. I waited and waited and still no delivery.
I have asked multiple times to get my full refund of the order. The policies you have do not make sense. This is furniture and there is no way an order for furniture will be canceled in 24 hours after the order was made in order to get a refund. Regardless of that, if the customer is unable to receive what they paid for, it makes sense to refund the full amount. Valyou Furniture will still have the full amount and should be able to refund their customer. People get refunded even after they have received the furniture.
They wanted me to tell them to proceed with canceling the order, then they will refund the money.
Being skeptical, I asked the company to promise me that they would refund my money once the order is canceled and they just replied that they have issued with the payment processing company and they would not be able to refund the money.
They have been going round in circles. I have been patient for almost a year now and this company has caused a lot of mental, emotional and financial strain. I do not know what to do..

-After one month on April 2, 2022, I requested an update on delivery and tracking information.
-On April 4, the vendor, someone named RA, responded saying delivery would be between the 3rd and 4th week of April and we would receive an update on April 14th.
-On April 14th, RA said the expected delivery was still the 3rd or 4th week of April
-On April 18th, RA said they are still waiting for tracking information for my order.
-On April 22, RA said we should expect delivery in the 4th week of April but was still waiting for tracking details.
-On April 25, RA said there was a delay and we should expect delivery late April to early May and we would get an update on May 2.
-On April 28, RA said the delay for our products would cause delay to be estimated by end of May
-On May 13, I cancelled the order.
-On May 21, RA said "the order was successfully canceled and the refund has been initiated on May 13th". With normal processing time takes 7-14 business days we waited to get the refund.
-Currently there is no ability to speak to someone at customer service, only a text service or e-mail service but any attempts to resolve the matter are met with excuse after excuse from the vendor.
-Any texting with Customer Service says the vendor has changed payment processors and is unable to issue the refund. They are stealing money from countless consumers.

Valyou Furniture
Date to purchase - March 1, 2022 Amount - $3,348.90
On March 1, 2022 I purchased a sofa from Valyou Furniture with the expectation of delivery April 11-24. Periodic emails were sent regarding delays due to COVID and supply chain issues. On June 22, 2022 I reached out asking for assistance with cancelling my order after receiving an email regarding the option to cancel my order and be refunded. I was directed to their 1-888-913-2008 SMS number. At that time I was informed that “your order allocation has not yet been updated by the warehouse. We would appreciation your willingness to wait patiently”. During that SMS communication I was asked “would you consider changing the color variation of your order to Beige?” as it was fast from the manufacturer and could be allocated on a sooner date. I declined and again asked that my order be cancelled and money refunded. I was told that cancellation could be further discussed over the phone. On June 25, 2022 I sent a 3rd request via email again requesting my order be cancelled and money refunded.
On June 28, we spoke to someone on the phone
On August 26, 2022, I was contacted via email by RJ, a supervisor from Valyou Furniture, regarding issuing a refund to my original mode of payment. I was told that the only option was to write a check which would be mailed within 30 days. I provided the mailing address for which the check was to be mailed. This information was provided August 27, 2022 and on August 28, 2022 I was told via email that the information was being forwarded to their finance team and ask to allow 30-day processing for my check refund.
We reached out regarding the refund as we still had not received the refund check. On November 3, 2022 we were asked to wait another 2 weeks for them to work on it. We received a check for the $3,348.90 dated 11/9/2022 and deposited on November 22, 2022 once received. On November 28, 2022 I checked my bank account and noticed a debit for the amount of the check that was deposited. I contact USAA and was informed the check bounced due to insufficient funds and that I also incurred a $5 fee as a result.
Attached to this letter you will see the correspondence between us and Valyou Furniture as early as August 26,

I was advertised to via Facebook about a company called Valyou Furniture. I had been searching for a couch for a while. After terrible review after terrible review, I decided to check their website out. On the outside their website looks professional, legitimate, and luxurious. They have social media presence, there were no huge red flags that stood out. I found a couch that was on sale for $1,399. I decided to see the reviews on the items. While I should have done a better job of due diligence by looking at reviews outside of the company's website, the reviews had pictures that looked like real people's homes, not overly professional taken photos and the reviews themselves seemed sincere, so after reading a 5 or 6 reviews, I was convinced this was enough. The process for buying the couch was extremely easy, enter credit card information and address, submit, done. After purchasing the couch, we received our confirmation email that our order was received. Our item appeared in-stock and in our email was told that in-stock items ship 2-5 days. After maybe two weeks of no update email and our order showing as still just placed in our Shopify app, I reached out via email to see where the item was and when it would ship. It took 4 days for a response that had answered neither one of my questions. All they said was that my item was allocated and a delivery person would reach out in 2-3 weeks. After a couple weeks I received a text message from someone from Valyou saying that the delivery date got pushed out to the end of the month, which I found strange it was pushed out because I still never got a concrete shipping date from the supposed delivery person. The end of the message said to respond to the message so that I can be assisted immediately. I replied exactly one minute later asking them to confirm that it would be delivered on the last week of the month. It took them 4 hours, but they confirmed "That is correct."
Another week goes by and I still haven't recieved a couch or a call/text/email from anyone from the company with an update, so I reach out to them asking for an update on where the couch is and when it will be delivered as I was told it would be delivered a week prior. I received no response. I attempted to call their phone number, but an automated message told me to text and/or email them and it hung up on itself.
I was feeling suspicious and unsettled, but trying to stay hopeful. I had a friend over for dinner one night and they asked when the couch was coming. We told him how long it had been, so he looked up the company name online and found a disgustingly high amount of reviews that were awful and nearly identical to what we were going through. That people were waiting upwards of 6 months+ waiting for their items to arrive and constantly being told the shipping dates were pushed back and virtually no communication when they reached out to the company for support. There were far more negative reviews than positive saying the same thing over and over again and at this point I got nervous we were never getting our couch. I waited a bit longer, but was still not getting a response back from the company on when the couch was coming or where it even was. Total radio silence. I finally had to go through my credit card company to dispute the charge. Suddenly after not hearing anything from this company, nor responses to our texts, hours after the dispute was filed with the credit card company, they text me (from a different number than the last they texted me from), that they "tried to check the address you provided and it shows it's out of service. If we have an alternate address we can provide to proceed with the delivery? Thank you". I was furious as they should have known at the time I ordered the couch and put my address in that it was somehow out of service, and they never mentioned that before when they had texted me prior saying the couch was ready to be shipped the following week. I replied immediately saying that I had no alternate address to give them and to please cancel the order.
They replied two days later telling me that they could cancel the order, but that they had updated their policy where refunds were in the form of Valyou Credit in my "Valyou Wallet" to be used on future purchases. At this point, I knew 100% this was as scam. I had no account I registered with to have a "Valyou Wallet" and this was not a refund situation. My item had never been shipped to begin with, but they were unwilling to refund the almost 1500 dollars I spent. I responded to their message with these points and I haven't heard a response since. It's been over a week. I am hopeful the credit card company will resolve this, I did receive my money back from the my credit card company as a "provisional credit" and ended up just going to a reputable big box store instead to get a couch. I feel silly for not reading outside reviews, but be smarter than me. Do not buy from this company, whether they ever truly had the couch or not, this type of customer service is unacceptable, especially if you're spending this amount of money on an item. They do not deserve your business.
