We received a gift card for participating in a research trial, the card contained $300. My son charged $200 legitimately and I was to take the remaining amount. I tried to check the balance the night before I planned to use it and was brought to the VanillaGift.com website, or so I thought. I put in the card details and nothing happened at all. I then checked the url and it was vanillayonghuigift.com, I somehow landed on what looked like a spoof site. I thought it was strange, fixed my error and then foolishly brushed off the incorrect website and continued on to the "real" site. I confirmed I had a $100 balance remaining and signed off. The next day I gave the card info to a trusted company and they said the card was declined. Sure enough, I checked the balance site again and there was a $100 pending charge from Toyar E Commerce, Inc for $100. I was so angry and sick to my stomach. I immediately called the company and they said to wait for the transaction to clear to see if it would be rejected or not. It went through and I called them back. This time I had done research and found several SM groups filled with thousands of people who have been scammed by this company through gift cards. I called the company number back and told the guy that I'd better get my money back before the resolution date they gave me of July 1, 2024. I also have the incident case # 69478577. This company needs to be stopped.
