I was reached out via text about a job I applied for on LinkedIn. The text instructed me to email a copy of my resume for a position with their company. After 24 hrs I was emailed an offer letter with salary expectations and everything. Once I accepted the offer letter I was advised to open a telegram account and communicate through there till my equipment arrives. I lost my job , money and probably my identity. Huge scam , please stay away.

I received a text message from Elizabeth Willson stating they are reaching out to me regarding a job application I filled out. I have never filled out a job application with this company however they wanted me to send my resume and cover letter to [email protected] to be considered. I’ve searched for this position all over google and couldn’t find it. The position was for a Data Entry Clerk. I sent over my resume and cover letter to the email provided and they sent me a email back with the job description and details about the company. A day later after I agree to the position, they send me an email stating they’d like to offer me the position. I got an offer letter attached to the email. I reviewed it and signed it right away. It looked like a legit offer letter. After I was told to fill out an employee form and complete an assessment. Upon completing both I was provided an employee portal link with my username and password and was asked to download Telegram. After communicating through telegram from a couple days. I was told the company would send me a check so I can deposit it into my account to be able to purchase my office equipment. An email was sent to me with instructions on how to do so. After it deposited and cleared in my account I informed Elizabeth and she got the order ready and all I had to do was make the payment. Elizabeth sent me the invoice of the order and I had to click on the link to pay. The link wasn’t working so she asked me if I couldn’t send the money via Zelle. After the money was sent Elizabeth advised that the equipment would be sent on June 12th. My start date was June 14th. I reached out to kikofficesupplies.com (the vendor for the equipment) via their chat services and asked when I would receive my equipment and they stated ETA was for June 14th but no tracking number was provided. I reached back out to Elizabeth and asked what they next steps were since June 14th is my expected start date. She advised me to reach out to her Tuesday, June 13th and she’ll provide more information. June 13th in the morning I went to write to Elizabeth through Telegram and our conversation was not there. She had deleted our conversation and blocked me since she can not be found when I search her up. I’ve tried calling the number she initially texted me from it goes straight to voicemail. I’ve tried contacting the vendor for the equipment they don’t respond. I’ve tried contacting everyone I could think of or had a name for and had no luck. Please stay away from this company as it is a scam and they make it seem so legit.

I was also looking for jobs through LinkedIn.

In the flood of applications, I received a text from Elizabeth Willson requesting I send a resume. I sent it in and received the following response,

"Thank you for sending over your resume. I have received and reviewed it, and I'm impressed with your qualifications. Please find more details about Vasade Biosciences and the position below and let me know if it's something up your alley."

The company site looked good and I thought I found enough about it. I completed the assessment and filled out the employee form.

4 days later I received an offer letter. However, the second bullet had me researching further and I found this site (attached a screenshot of the second bullet)

I declined the offer.
Offer too good to be true.

I responded to a Data Entry Assistant position job advertised by SoftSyncDev, and they either are the scammers or sell info. After that I got a text referencing the job asking me to do some assessments to determine fit. Next day I’m given a fake offer letter, an employee portal login, and told that they need to communicate on Telegram and that new hires have been losing checks in mail so they want to email a secure check for me to deposit in order to get my home office. At this point I knew it was an absolute scam and started asking them to explain why they needed to go about it that way which resulted in getting blocked of course.

In the flood of applications on LinkedIn, I received a text asking me to submit a resume to [email protected]

Elizabeth Willson reached out and asked me to complete an assessment and fill out the employee form.

Four days later, I received an email with an offer letter.

"A decision about your employment was made sooner than expected as we need to fill this position as soon as possible."

In the offer letter they inform us of the following:

"All of our administrative staff are currently working from home and we are unable to coordinate the shipping of your office equipment to you. However, the company is willing to send you a check. The amount on the check will cover the purchase and shipping of your office equipment.

The HR Assistant (Ms Willson) will also assist you with this process. You are expected to use the funds from the check to complete the purchase of your office equipment from the company-approved vendor. Kindly advise that the company can rely on your full trust, commitment and diligence in carrying out this task."

I was applying for jobs on LinkedIn and they emailed me and told me to send them a resume and then take an assessment. They gave me a "company email" to log into their "employee portal." Also, created a good looking company website. I was then offered the job and then told to create a Telegram account. They emailed me copies of "company checks" and then told me to deposit them using mobile deposit. Then they had me send money through Venmo to their "vendor." I lost almost 2,000 dollars.

+2

I'm sorry you lost your money, but I really appreciate you posting about it to save others like me who fell for it before it was too late.
