Update

After they refused to provide any documentation on what this escrow is and how it's calculated (they just say it was a warning on the account when you try to withdraw) they kept saying it's 1000$ a week until I pay. Now they are saying if I pay $1000 I will get 50% back in my account once unlocked. So they are negotiating, hoping to get more money from me. I blocked them and filed a complaint with the police.

Please be aware that the scammer (I know him as Richard Wilson) also tried to contact me from a different number after I blocked him on Whatsapp on +44 7828 449938. He messaged me from +1 (404) 835-9678

I was talking to my cousin on Instagram about how he had been investing with this man, Jamie Reynolds, for a while and he was very trustworthy. After talking to Jamie Reynolds I withdrew $1200 into bitcoin and invested it in his trading website Velocityfxpro.co Upon finding out this was a scam I tried to withdraw my money. The site made me pay $500 to get my money back into my wallet and said I could not withdraw my money until the following Sunday. On Sunday I withdraw my funds and it has been stuck in the site until I pay $2,225. Now understanding the scam I was just going to let that money go and take it as a loss. But the site is saying that if I do not pay the money by January 28 they will keep billing me $500 a week until it has been paid. I do not want to pay this because I think it is a scam but if I don't pay it and it is real, there will be a charge that keeps racking up against my name.

The man, Jamie Reynolds, that I have been talking to was using a text app called Telegram and his number is +44 7828 449938

Any update? I am in the same situation as you, just didn't pay anything to unlock after I found your review here. Same phone number but on Whatsapp and different name (Richard Wilson). Speaks with a British accent and uses "bro" a lot
