We are visiting LA & went to Venice Beach Boardwalk where we wanted to buy some custom printed shorts in a shop. First, I asked for the price of the sweatshirts ( $30 for plain shirt + $15 to add any print) then asked about shorts prices, the young man said he wasn't sure of the shorts prices but he suspected cheaper than sweatshirts. We then picked out 2 pairs, 1 of which were already printed on and another that we chose to have custom word printed. When he finished he rang the register and the visible part of the register facing the customer said $34.98 so my husband handed the man his card & he swiped it then handed my husband a receipt to sign. After this he put the shorts & our copy of the receipt in the bag & we left. About an hour later we received bank notification stating that this company charged him $198.22 for 2 PAIRS OF SHORTS THAT COULD'VE BEEN DOLLAR STORE MATERIAL WORTH $10!!!! But we weren't worried about that because we're on vacation. After seeing this information I took the shorts out of the bag & found a receipt inside the bag that was DIFFERENT from the receipt that my husband signed during the transition & this one also said $198.22 & ALL SALES FINAL!! I tried to call the store & got no answer so we are going back there tomorrow to see what they have to say & I'm prepared to call the police & make a report in addition to continuing to post a review on EVERY website I can. These professional scam assists appear to have already done this for years as there e several businesses with the same address & kind of business that has been permanently closed but then another opens in its place with a similar name. They are CONS!!! They should be prosecuted!!
