Today, they called me to say they needed to get back into my computer to install updates. While Michael the technician was running diagnostics on my computer, Ryan Jr. from Finance called to ask if I had done anything or given access to my computer to anyone who might have removed Sonic Wall as it was no longer operating. He then offered to refund my money but in order to do it, he insisted that I needed to log on to my bank account or credit card account while they were still in my computer. He still had my credit card information from back in May (which he should not have) and there is no reason he couldn't have refunded me without me logging on to my credit card account. When I became suspicious and refused to do it, he got quite angry at me for not trusting him and advised me to hang up if I didn't want to continue. I took his advice and hung up.
I'm not sure if they were able to access personal information while sharing my computer. I did not give them any information beyond my credit card number on the original call.
I do not have an e-mail address for them since I got to them through Canon tech support and all further contact was by phone.
