We were sold LeadRoll's services where they would acquire a qualified list of prospects (with our approval) that would be thoroughly vetted to the point that any appointments/booked calls coming in would be closing sales calls.
Without our approval or knowledge, they started marketing to this list. I first noticed something was off when I received a booked appointment with a contact that I had already known and on the appointment, he asked me what I wanted to speak about. I had no knowledge of a conversation and I found out that he was reached out to via LinkedIn.
I contacted LeadRoll and found out about this list and explained that we had not approved of any list and wanted to know why this list was already being marketed too. I was then told that if the prospect responded to some form of communication, that it would qualify them as a valid prospect, and they gave a run around response on the list being approved saying it was done on our onboarding call. I explained what happened on our onboarding call and that I was supposed to get an e-mail from them about this list and never did.
They did not follow any process outlined to our company and then stated that if the lead responded to some form of communication, that it would qualify them as a valid prospect. This is not what was agreed too.
I had a two-hour phone call where I spoke with the lady we onboarded with and someone in management. They would not listen to our grievances and then tried to claim everything was done right by them and said they would give a discount on the next month to $4000. I refused and asked them to make right by what they had said and deliver the service sold. They have refused and are now asking for the remainder of the contract.
We have now spent $7000 and have nothing in return. I am writing this to alert you of this companies’ fraudulent activities. I am sure this has happened to multiple others and hopefully this will prevent others, especially in these trying times.
