I place an add to sell my car on Auto Trader on 6/26/23. On 6/24/23 I received a text asking for information about my car and he was interested in purchasing it. After texting back and forth he requested a vehicle report on the Car. I suggest Carfax but he was adamant that I use Veritfymotors.com because he didn't trust CarFax. I went to Verified motors website and purchased the report for $39.00 which I received and sent to him. He responded by saying he would get back to me. At this point I realize he was a representative of the Verified Motors company after google searching his number. Although on the internet he was associated with another car reporting service called Trust Pilot using the same phone number he texted me. I then requested my $39.00 back from Verified Motors which I received after sending Mr. Park a text calling him out on his scam and association with Verified Motors. This company now has my credit card company and i have notified by cc company and have frozen the account. basically, he is pretending to be a buyer and requesting the buyer to go to Verified motors (which he has some interest in) to purchase the car report with no intention of buying the car.
