The seller said their daughter had cancer and was in the hospital and they could not respond in a timely manner. The Map on the classified suggested they were in Toronto but they gave us an address in Sault Ste. Marie but had a phone number with area code 437 not 705.
They eventually sent a contract with an ownership transfer certificate with the puppies registration# and name. At that point my Fiance sent $400 as they said they would meet us half way instead of us driving to Sault Ste Marie. This was half of the original price of $800.
What really did it for us was when they stopped answering and then appeared out of nowhere to ask for an extra $250 for vaccinations. When we asked why, as they told us the puppy was up to date they said because of new "COVID Laws". I did not find anything that could have made this claim valid. I also was very upset and read the by-laws stipulated in the Canadian Kennel Club website. The seller did not provide or follow any of the following:
- Specific Selling practices in accordance with the club
- Evidence of vaccinations up to date
- Registration # in line with the club
- Not ask for more money. as per by-laws all costs should be covered by the seller and included in the price.
- Standard Contract and Ownership transfer certificate in line with that given by the Canadian Kennel Club
Once I sent a text stipulating all this, they stopped responding all together. I then went to set up an investigation with my bank to get my money back.

Currently https://www.eclassifieds4u.com/ has multiple classified very similair to this. Some from the same emails I have provided that spell out "****".
eclassifieds4u has been on the end of multiple scams over the years, especially when it comes to puppies. I am wondering how they are still allowing these types of classifieds to be posted. I have tried to submit an online claim to them and even call, with no luck.
