I hired Bryan Helvey from Veterans Maintenance and Painting Services to paint my house in August 2018, subject to his providing proof of insurance. He required $1000 upfront money which I gave him by check. The only proof of insurance he could produce was a certificate of insurance dated 2016 with doctored beginning and ending dates. I told him I couldn't use him and asked for my deposit back. It has been weeks and all I get from him is stalling.
